This is a collection of tracks from the first three Cowabunga Breakfast albums - Hail Snail, Modest Operandi, and Fermentations - written and recorded between 2010 and 2012. Many of these songs were lost to obscurity and previously only available on physical CDs, but I feel they represent some of my best efforts early on.

I returned to this material after storing it in a box for many years, thinking that I'd find it way too cringey and poor quality to re-release to the world. Instead I just found myself. My younger, less experienced self to be sure; but a friend nonetheless. These tracks are being presented un-mastered and exactly as they sounded when I recorded them. In most cases I'm just using a horrible laptop mic and you can hear my fan in the background. I felt this was necessary to preserve the feeling of those days; we cannot constantly re-shine and update the past.

This collection is being released as a special gift for longtime Breakfast fans, and a flashback for new friends picked up in the intervening 8 years since these got made. A lot has changed, but I hope that these old tunes can spark a few warm memories. I greatly appreciate the support for my work over the past 10 years. Here's to the next 10!
